What appeals to me about this movie, beyond Al Pacino's acting, which I thought was superb, is the gripping portrayal of the effect one's decisions through the course of his or her life impacts the outcome.

Chris O'Donnell does an excellent job in a supporting role. And, then there's the tango! It's one of the most memorable scenes of all movies of all times. I've played it over and over again, each time living the thoughts that must have gone through the characters minds. Her: Not to prejudge. Him: The joy of the finest things in life, the exercise of a hidden talent, the possibility of hope for the future.

This movie is memorable and it cuts deep, for those who allow it to do so, into the fabric of life. It gives us a chance to reassess where we're from, where we're headed and why this is the case.

For me all of the top 100 will be "Thumbs up!" The question that remains is why and what Terri thought of the same movie. In a nutshell, as it says on the report card, I thought this was a "poignant statement about life's foibles."

Until next time, then, we’ll see you at the movies!

Terri said, "This movie was 'good,' but not my favorite."

She said that she tired of Al Pacino's character through the course of the movie. "It's painful to see someone be such a jerk and then watch them pay the price."

The bottom line for her is a thumbs neutral.
